The Jesus Secret is divided into Days, with a primary confession of faith for each Day.

• On Day 23 you are invited to speak these words, “I Am The One Jesus Is With; Jesus Is With Me.” Speak these words out loud. Shout them! Declare them to be true. But what do they mean? Day 23 opens up these words to you, making them real and personal.
  
• On Day 59 you proclaim, “I Have The Right To Become A Child Of God.” Speak it out loud. Shout down every shadow of opposition with these words. But what, really, does it mean to become a child of God? Day 59 reveals the Biblical context in which these words were spoken by the Apostle John.
  
• On Day 110 you are invited to say, “I Have Love. I Pursue Love.” But what does it mean to be filled with love. Paul said that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Do we dare to believe these words, to speak them out loud, to proclaim them until we know that they are true? And then – by the power in these words – by the power of the Jesus Secret – to love, actually and truly, just as Jesus loves?
  

I have sought the Lord and followed after to know Him for 32 years. But the last 16 months of writing this book has been without question the most glorious time of my life. And it is even more without question that I haven’t seen anything yet.

What I groped for and longed for through all those years was always dimly just out of reach. I remember time and time again of crying out, sometimes on my knees with my face on the floor, other times in front of the mirror with my hands on my breast, crying, “Oh Father, please, if it is possible, give me Your heart. Let the same heart that beats in Your breast beat also in mine.”

I thought He would never answer my prayer; my own heart was so limited and wretched. Or so I imagined. I weep now at all my years of ignorance. You see, dear reader, I never needed to ask God to put His heart in my breast. He had already done so.

• On Day 140, we speak these words, “All The Fullness Of God Fills Me.” Dare we to believe such a thing? Yet we know that this is Paul’s prayer for those who know the love of Christ. What does it mean that all the fullness of God fills me? If I say such things — out loud — and believe them, what will happen to me? Will God fulfil in me what He Himself has spoken?

Why would you trust what I say?

You may not know me. And I realize that it’s hard to trust somebody you don’t know who comes along “claiming” to have some new revelation of truth. I am the same way. My own first test (besides, of course, being in full agreement with the gospel of the New Covenant) is, do I sense the sweet Spirit of Christ, or is there some human agenda?

I do have an agenda. I not only want, with all of my heart, to be with Him when He comes in His glory; but I also want to hear Him say “Well done.” If two or three people found themselves there, in the overwhelming glory of the revelation of Christ as a result of following the exercise of faith laid out in my little book - what incomprehensible joy that would be.

All the years of heartache and tears, of stumbling and falling, of seeking God, of not understanding, yet wanting with all my heart to know Him - all of it poured into this book - all of it worth it all if just two or three came to know Him in the way He is revealing Himself to me.

• On Day 19 we speak these words, “I Understand The Secrets Of Heaven – I Know God’s Will.” When we speak what God speaks about us, we are speaking Jesus. And when we speak Jesus, He becomes the reality of what we speak. And suddenly, we do understand, and awesomely, we know His Secret as His Spirit becomes more real in us than ever before.
  

But the Jesus Secret is more than just a book. It is also a fellowship, an experience together of all the glory of Jesus. I invite you to share the beauty of The Jesus Secret with many, and, especially, to share it with those whom you love.

Is the Jesus Secret that easy?

There are those who would like to make the secret of Jesus difficult and hard, just beyond the reach of almost all of us. In my life I have known many who have made knowing Jesus so unreachable, something to hope for, yes, but never really to experience now. There are so many who seem to want to limit God to heaven; to say that He can do His will there, of course, but not here, not now, and surely not in you.

But Paul did not agree; nor do I. Paul said that the word is near you, in your heart and in your mouth, the word that we speak. In fact Jesus said that those who think it is hard will be offended when He makes it easy for the many at the end of the day!

What if there were a simple exercise you could perform every day that would - over a period of time - transform you into the image of Jesus? Would you practice that exercise?

We all know that if you wanted to be physically strong, you could buy an exercise machine and do a twenty minute routine every day, and after several weeks or months you would be quite fit.

Is it any different in the spiritual realms?

When you practice speaking every day what God Himself speaks, speaking a confession of faith — who God says we are — in a daily exercise, you will discover your mind changing, your faith strengthening, your expectancy of God’s power growing, your heart of love to do God’s will enlarging.

You will find these things happening in just the same way that a daily exercise will cause your body to strengthen. But the differences are these: your physical body is limited, the power of Jesus inside of you is not. And instead of physical strength you will find the glory of Jesus increasing on your face. How? God does what He says He will do.

The Jesus Secret brings the revelation of Christ into your own heart
and your own mouth. Speak what God says you are.

As you speak the confession of faith found in The Jesus Secret, day by day, you will watch darkness flee. You will find a fountain of joy bubbling up inside of you. You will laugh, like you have not laughed since you were a little child. You will discover that Jesus and joy go hand in hand.

And difficulties? Of course they will remain. But you will no longer see them as difficulties, but as joy. Why? Because that is who God says you are.

And in the end, there is this question. Will God do what He says? If I speak with my mouth what God says He will do and believe that He will – will God do what He says in me?

God says that the Spirit which raised Christ from the dead is right now giving life immortal to my tired, weak, dying body. If I speak these words out loud and believe them with all my heart, will God actually do it in me? Will the Spirit that God says is working in my dying body be released to swallow up my body with life?

I become like Jesus by seeing Him instead of myself – when I look at myself. And I am able to see Jesus instead of my own human frailty when I speak what God says I am.

• On Day 92 we confess these words, “From the beginning, God determined that I would be just like Jesus.” Is this possible? If I confess God’s determination in my life, will I be caught and carried by the fierceness of His determination? If I speak it out loud? There is power in speaking out loud what God speaks. How? It is so simple. When we speak out loud what God has spoken, after awhile we discover that we believe it!
  

There is no power in me. I cannot do anything God has said, nor make it come to pass. But when I speak out loud what God says, I believe it. And when I believe what He says with all my heart - He does it in me!
